Offer Description
The employment will be concluded for full-time 40 hours per week, for a period of 12 months with three (3) month of work-trial. Start of the employment is by agreement.
Department in which the post is located
The job will be related to work in the Centre for Knowledge Development and Transfer (CRDK). CRDK is an organisational unit of the University of Primorska (UP FM) in the capacity of the Technology Transfer Office. The Office is responsible for the implementation of national and international projects for the deployment and implementation of knowledge and technology transfer services and their commercialisation. The aim and mission of the CRPZ UP is to create links and effective synergies for the cooperation of the university's educational and research capacities with the economy through a comprehensive offer of support services, headed by the activities of transfer and commercialisation of the UP's technological knowledge. The duties to be performed by the civil servant:
- independently preparing the administrative, financial and legal bases, documentation and working documents for the organisation and implementation of work activities,
- carrying out project activities in the field,
- studying practices, laws, regulations in the field of work, keeping management informed of new developments,
- preparing the technical basis for proposals and plans in the field of work,
- independently collecting and collating data on foreseeable business processes and conditions in the field of work,
- cooperating with project partners within UP, with external project partners and with the business community,
- carrying out other related work as assigned by the supervisor.

Desirable skills and competences:
- basic knowledge of the business support environment in Slovenia,
- basic knowledge of procedures for intellectual property protection and advice on contracts and intellectual property,
- knowledge of the business support environment/ecosystem in Slovenia,
- previous experience of working with companies, entrepreneurs and providing business support services (internationalisation, technological development, innovation),
- experience in the field of support to business entities and working on projects, especially EU projects (H2020, COSME, ERASMUS+, Structural Funds, Territorial Cooperation Programmes),
- knowledge of additional foreign languages is highly desirable
- writing and editing various types of texts (including complex ones) in English,
- editing social network profiles and pages, and website editing,
- flexibility and ability to adapt quickly to new tasks and projects,
- willingness to undertake further education and training at home and abroad,
- mobility for occasional field work (company visits) and business trips abroad,
- B category driving licence desirable.
- Required education: ISCED 7 formal education, which can relate to: specialization after higher education (before Bologna reform), university education (before Bologna reform) or Master's degree,
- active knowledge of English,
- an interest in or basic knowledge of research,
- interest in or EU project experience,
- interest in or knowledge of intellectual property protection procedures and work involving the linking of researchers with industry.
