Offer Description
Institute of Rural Health Witold Chodźka in Lublin is in search of a full-time Research Assistant at the Department of Toxicology and Food Safety.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducting and participating in scientific research and development work, in accordance with the Department's strategy,
Acquiring funds for scientific research through applications in national or international competitions,
Disseminating the results of scientific or development research by publishing them in the most prestigious scientific journals from the Journal Citation Reports list,
Showing initiative in organizing and improving one's own work and the team/unit,
Other organizational duties assigned by the immediate supervisor

Master's degree or equivalent in a field related to the competition.
At least 5 years of scientific experience in basic research in the field of microbiology, biology, and toxicology.
Confirmed authorship or co-authorship of at least 8 articles in peer-reviewed journals from the Philadelphia List.
Very good knowledge of using a fluorescence microscope and experience in identifying and differentiating microorganisms.
Desirable knowledge of ISO standards and Quality Standards for food, water and cosmetics.
The experience in implementing projects and grants using IT technologies, from external sources (e.g., National Science Center, National Centre for Research and Development, etc.).
Professional proficiency in spoken/written English.
Possession of authorization to perform activities related to the use of animals for scientific purposes
Very good knowledge of computer hardware and office programs (Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint), image analysis programs and statistical data analysis programs.
Master's degree or equivalent in a field related to the competition.

Additional Information
Full-time employment contract, for an indefinite period from April 1, 2024. The place of work will be the Institute of Rural Health W. Chodźki in Lublin (Poland); Department of Toxicology and Food Safety
The competition procedure will be conducted in Polish.
The competition procedure will be conducted by the Competition Commission.
The Competition Committee is entitled to verify the documents submitted by the candidates, including the compliance of declarations with the facts.
Candidates who have successfully passed the formal assessment of the submitted documents will be invited to the interview.
The invitation to the interview will be sent by e-mail (to the e-mail address provided in the candidate's CV) by the Chairman of the Competition Committee.
Date of the interview: February 26, 2024.
Documents should be submitted by February 20, 2024, to the Institute's Office or sent to the following address: Grzegorz Raszewski, Department of Toxicology and Food Safety, Institute of Rural Medicine. Witolda Chodźka, ul. Jaczewskiego 2, 20-090 Lublin (in the case of a shipment, the date of receipt of the documents by the Institute is decisive). The final employment decision will be made by the Director of the Institute of Rural Health in Lublin after consulting the Scientific Council of the Institute of Rural Health in Lublin.
An employment contract will be concluded with the selected candidate if it is possible to verify the data provided by candidate in the POL-on system and indicate the Institute of Rural Medicin as the first place of work.
