Offer Description
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a CALEUP4REHAB Physiotherapy Researcher within UCD School of Public health, Physiotherapy and Sports Science.
The Scaleup4rehab project is an EU funded 5 year project (Interreg NEW; 6.5 million euro). Thirteen partners from across Europe will work together to ensure equal access to rehabilitation care and foster the resilience of health systems by the digitalization of the rehabilitation sector. https://scale-up4rehab.nweurope.eu/ Scaleup4rehab will design and build an open virtual rehabilitation `clinic', through which existing virtual rehabilitation therapies will be scaled up. UCD will be involved in developing the criteria for inclusion of rehabilitation programmes on the `virtual clinic'. Eight regional pilots (including UCD) will act as showcases integrating virtual reality rehabilitation programmes in various healthcare settings. UCD's pilot study will involve testing virtual reality with people living with chronic pain. In terms of building capacity for the use of technology in rehabilitation education UCD will also be involved in developing resources that will be then embedded into physiotherapy programmes.
