Offer Description
Become part of TUBAF’s professorship of Biogenic Engineering Materials in the Materials Science and Technology Department at Bergakademie Freiberg. It is a 100% position according to TV-L E13. Startdate: ASAP
This is a postdoctoral position in responsive biomaterials based on biogenic resources.
The position will focus on the discovery of new molecular photoswitches to functionalize biopolymers and fungal mycelia with responsive properties. Responsive biomaterials change their properties such as stiffness through external stimulation such as light or pH changes.
The stegbauerlab, led by Dr. Linus Stegbauer, is pursuing several projects to improve the production of biocomposite materials, living materials and photoresponsive materials, all of which are based on biogenic resources The stegbauerlab will be located at the TU Bergakademie Freiberg and University of Stuttgart. We are an interdisciplinary, diverse and international team at the stegbauerlab and would be delighted to welcome a newemployee as a fresh member. In addition to your scientific work, there are many opportunities to participate in retreats, training and teaching.
