The School of Arts, English and Languages seeks to appoint a Lecturer in Composition. You will have a strong international track record in music composition, will undertake research in line with the School’s research strategy and be an active member of the research community at SARC: Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Sound and Music.
You will be able to inspire young composers with a wide variety of musical backgrounds and will have demonstrable ability to train composers to the highest professional standards of instrumental writing. The successful applicant will also teach at both UG & PG level and contribute to School administration and outreach activities.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:
- Have or be about to obtain a relevant PhD.
- A record of recent publication of internationally excellent research outputs in Music Composition appropriate to career stage.
- Relevant teaching experience to at least degree level in composition.
