Offer Description

1. Implementation of DFT calculations of results obtained from experiments on the synchrotron (STXM)

2. Molecular dynamics calculations of interactions between noble metal elements (Pt, Pd, Au or Ag) and the Cu2O surface.

3. Training and coaching a PhD student in DFT and MD simulation methods.

4. Assistance in the preparation of results obtained in experiments.

5. Participation in the preparation of publications on the obtained research results.

Skills/Qualifications

1. PhD in physics, chemistry, nanotechnology, materials engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology or related field.

2. Experience in DFT and MD modeling confirmed by publication in a journal on the list of scientific journals of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education.

3. Proficiency in English as evidenced by personal presentation at peer-reviewed international scientific conferences or internship abroad or relevant language certificate (at least B2 level).

4. Ability to write scientific papers.

5. Ability to think analytically and formulate conclusions independently.

6. High motivation for further development and ability to work in a team.

- A list of scientific and research achievements (e.g., list of publications, speeches at conferences, internships held) indicating the 3 most important scientific publications,

- at least two letters of recommendation, including one from the dissertation supervisor,

- A PDF file of the dissertation,

- Other confirmation that the candidate for the advertised position meets the above-mentioned requirements, in the form of diplomas, certificates, a printouts from Scopus or WoS database, etc.

- Statement of consent for the processing of personal data contained in the CV and other attached documents - if the scope of such data includes special categories of data referred to in Article 9(1) of RODO, which reads: "I consent to the processing of my personal data by IFJ PAN included in my CV and attached documents."
