Offer Description

  • editorial collaboration on the publication "Turning Social: On the social-transformative Potential of Music Mediation"
  • editorial collaboration on the first issue of the International Journal of Music Mediation (IJMM)
  • conceptual collaboration on a research proposal for the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Canada
  • Participation in relevant administrative, organizational, and evaluation measures of the institute.

Salary: According to the Austrian collective agreement, the monthly gross pay is at a minimum € 1.638,65 (14 Times), in case of job-related former experience a gross pay of € 1.942,60 (at a maximum) is possible.

Prerequisite for employment as a University Assistant in the field of Music Mediation / Community Music is a completed university degree at Master level relevant to the position (Music Mediation, Cultural Mediation, Cultural Studies, Community Music, Musicology, Music Education, Instrumental and Vocal Pedagogy).

Specific Requirements
  • several years of experience with projects in the field of Music Mediation / Community Music,
  • demonstrated ability for academic work (evidenced by a diploma or master's thesis graded "Very Good" and possibly prior publication activity),
  • good English language skills,
  • Experience in conceptual and organizational activities,
  • Teamwork skills.
