We offer an annual gross salary of at least € 45,882.20 for a fulltime position. An overpayment based on qualification and experience is possible.

You are a passionate researcher with a completed Diploma or Master's degree, e.g. in Applied Ethics, Sociology, Global Studies, Psychology, Interdisciplinary Gender Studies, Education, Public Health, Health Sciences (students who are in their final year of study and will finish their diploma or master in January/February 2024 are also encouraged to apply) with the following profile:
- scientific curiosity and the motivation to conduct research on Compassionate Workplaces for at least 4 years;
- willingness to work in participatory/co-creative research contexts;
- experience with or interest in academic research on topics related to care, illness, death, loss and end-of-life experiences, organizational culture and employee orientation and/or in the areas of organizational development, health promotion, human resource management, workplace health/satisfaction;
- knowledge of or a high willingness to familiarize yourself with qualitative and quantitative research methods;
- excellent written and spoken knowledge of the following languages: German and English;
- very good IT skills and an enjoyment of and affinity for using digital tools;
- independent working style and initiative;
- as well as communication and teamwork skills.

Additional Information
You are conducting the research project EU-CoWork to promote Compassionate Workplaces. This involves researching the compatibility of care work and gainful employment in companies, as well as the conditions that support employees in existentially challenging life situations, such as serious illness, dying, death, loss and grief, and provide a space for these topics:
- You will collect quantitative and qualitative data on these existential care experiences and their impact on employees and workplaces at different workplaces;
- You will evaluate the development process and the measures in their impact dimensions in the company, especially in relation to the experience/well-being of employees and the organizational culture;
- You will analyze qualitative and quantitative data on existing processes and strategies in companies, on the experiences of employees, as well as on the impact of measures to promote Compassionate Workplaces;
- At the University of Graz, you will work with an experienced team of researchers from the Center for Interdisciplinary Aging and Care Research and the Center for Social Research;
- In Austria, you will work with the Sorgenetz association and a colleague for the promotion of workplace health promotion to develop programs for Compassionate Workplaces in three Austrian companies/enterprises;
- You will collaborate with researchers from Belgium, Sweden, Greece and the UK in the context of the EU research consortium;
- You will publish the results in scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals and present the results at national and international conferences;
- You will develop your dissertation project within the framework of this project.
