The Department of Law and Economics at the Technical University of Darmstadt seeks candidates at the earliest possible date for a

Full Professorship (W3) for Business Administration – Accounting

The research focus aims at the research area of accounting in a broad conceptual understanding, including managerial accounting and financial accounting.

Applicants should possess a competitive research profile, demonstrated by publications in relevant, highly ranked journals. In addition, they should have extensive experience in interdisciplinary research and a proven track record of successfully acquiring third-party funds. The candidate is expected to develop a robust research program and make active contributions to at least one research focus of the department ("Digital Transformation," "Logistics and Supply Chain Management," or "Innovation and Growth"), as well as to collaborating disciplines within the Technical University Darmstadt (e.g., in the research fields “Information and Intelligence” or “Energy and Environment”). The candidate is expected to contribute to the academic training of students in “Business Information Systems” and “Business Administration and Engineering” courses. Good pedagogical skills and the ability to teach in German and English are prerequisites.

The candidate is expected to possess an outstanding doctorate and a post-doctoral qualification (Habilitation or equivalent) in Business Administration.

The position includes a remuneration package commensurate with experience and qualifications, following the German "W-Besoldung," and is subject to negotiations between the applicant and the university directorate. Further requirements for employment are based on § 67 and § 68 HessHG (Hessisches Hochschulgesetz).
