Hours of work: 37 hours per week, normally worked Monday to Friday. Flexible working will be considered

Salary: Full time starting salary is in the range of £37,337 to £41,406 per annum

Role Description
About the Role
We are seeking someone to join a dynamic team of 24 people working on a number of different research programmes. Your role will be the development of novel aircraft assembly technologies through the development and implementation of robotics and automation. This is a hands on opportunity and the role holder will be permanently seconded to Airbus and their normal place of work will be Airbus’ Manufacturing facility in Broughton near Chester.
About You
This is a rare opportunity for the right person to sit between industry and academia and we are looking for a motivated & dynamic individual who can identify opportunities to exploit cutting edge research into industrial environments.
You will be expected to liaise with Airbus and equipment suppliers and developers to assist with the successful delivery of manufacturing technologies at all stages of technical maturity. You will be seconded full time to Airbus and your normal place of work will be Airbus Broughton near Chester.
You will take a proactive approach to the development of the technology. An MSc in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or similar subject area is essential for the post, together with some experience of manufacturing engineering research or relevant industrial experience.
