At the University of Greifswald’s Institute of Psychology, Chair of Developmental and Educational Psychology in the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences,there is a job vacancy expected to be available from March 2024, subject to budgetary regulations, for apart-time (65 %)

Research Assistant (doctoral candidate)

The position is limited to three years. Payment will be made according to pay group 13 TV-L Wissenschaft.

In the DFG-funded research project “Effects of human aging on the representation of state spaces” we study lifespan age differences in the cognitive and neural representations of state spaces (https://doi.org/10.1177/17456916231204811). We are looking for a motivated candidate with research interests in developmental and/or cognitive psychology. We offer an excellent research infrastructure, a motivated, diverse research group, and a research network with numerous national and international collaborations.

Job Description:

  • Planning, implementation, coordination, and supervision of experimental research projects in the field of developmental and/or cognitive psychology
  • Data analysis
  • Publication and presentation of results

Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree or Diplom in psychology or a related field (cognitive neuroscience, educational sciences)
  • Scientific expertise in the fields of developmental and/or cognitive psychology
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical methods
  • Excellent English language skills (oral and written)

Desirable:

  • Experience in cognitive neuroscience methods (e.g. EEG or fMRI) and/or computational modelling.
