The Department of Biomolecular Systems (Director: Prof. Dr. Peter H. Seeberger) at the Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interfaces in Potsdam, Germany invites applications from outstanding young scientists for the position of
PhD Student Chemical Technology (m/f/d)
We are looking for a highly motivated PhD student in the field of Automated Chemical Technologies. The candidate should have a degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, biotechnology or closely related fields, with a strong background organic synthesis and physical chemistry and interests in:
- Experimentation and experiment design.
- Design, construction, and optimization of automated platforms.
- Basic knowledge and experience in flow chemistry is desirable.
- Basic programming skills, ideally in Python, is required.
- Confidence in spoken and written English is a requirement.
The position will handle the further development of an automated flow platform for reaction studies and optimization in the group Automated Glycan Assembly
The position is available starting from March 2024.
