Offer Description
The Anthropology & Ecology of Disease Emergence Unit at the Institut Pasteur is seeking a postdoctoral researcher specializing in quantitative analyses to participate in a study examining lay public and health care worker (HCW) professional priorities concerning format, access, acceptance, and understanding of point-of-care (POC) testing and its place in pandemic preparedness. These priorities will be integrated into POC diagnostic platforms developed by a large international consortium.
Specifically, the postdoctoral research will contribute to the development of a mixed method data collection tool for a large European survey which will be implemented by a professional marketing research company. Most important, the postdoc will conduct the analysis (descriptive statistics, multivariate regression) of data collected; identify major findings; put these findings into dialogue with qualitative (text) data collected with the data collection tool; and contribute to the production of a major report and publications. The postdoc will also contribute to the team’s qualitative research with HCWs, as well as to a consultation process with diverse stakeholders (association representatives, industry, ECDC).
