Offer Description
In 2022, the Spanish Ministry of Science and Innovation (MCIN) recognized the Barcelona Institute of Analytic Philosophy (BIAP) as a María de Maeztu Unit of Excellence, a status involving a 2M Euro grant for a 4-year collaborative research project on the nature and role of evidence. - to assess the role and relevance of evidence in democratic deliberation and decision-making; -to assess the role of evidence-based public decision-making for the effective protection of members of vulnerable groups and their human rights; - to assess whether and why different standards of evidence may be required or acceptable in different domains of in which authority by some over others may be exercised. The successful candidate is further expected to actively participate in BIAP's research activities and in the organization of research and outreach events. |
