The position meets the teaching and research needs of the BA programme developed by the Department of Medieval, Early Modern and Art History. The teaching language of the disciplines included in this teaching position is Romanian.

Candidates wishing to obtain the academic position of Assistant professor need to have a PhD in history, to have specialised in medieval and early modern history and to meet the necessary standard academic requirements relevant to this teaching position, while their scholarly activity and publications need to conform to the disciplines: Introduction to history of Middle Ages; History of Transylvania in the Middle Ages; The Cult of the Saints in the Middle Ages.

The activities include teaching and research, supervision of student research activity and BA dissertations, evaluation of entrance exams for the BA programme, tutorials and consultation; civic activities; administrative activities at the department  and faculty level.
