Job Description:
We are seeking a Research Assistant for the project "Study and Development of Core Functions using Orthogonal Polynomials and their Application in Data Analysis" at the AnFAO Group within the Department of Physics and Mathematics at UAH. The AI will collaborate directly with the Principal Investigator, focusing on data analysis, CDKernels development for ML and QML, and publishing results in JCR-indexed journals.
Activity Objectives:
-Research Career: Initiate and develop a research career in ML, QML, and Statistical Learning, with the possibility of starting a Doctoral Thesis.
-Exploratory Data Analysis: Conduct a comprehensive data analysis for implementation in ML and QML techniques.
-Development of CDKernels: Construct Christoffel-Darboux Kernels for in-depth data analysis.
-Evaluation and Comparison of Algorithms: Assess and compare learning algorithms in ML and QML, critically interpreting the results.
-Collaboration and Scientific Publication: Work with other researchers, draft, and publish scientific articles in specialized journals.
-External Collaboration: Establish connections with universities, institutions, and companies interested in developing data analysis techniques.
Requirements:
-It is essential to have a broad prior knowledge of quantum computing.
-Having completed a master's degree in quantum computing will be highly regarded.
-Expressing an interest in initiating a Doctoral Thesis in the research topic will be highly appreciated.
-Programming in R, Matlab, Python, and IBM Quantum Composer will be greatly appreciated.
-Preparation of scientific reports.
Training Plan:
Participation in workshops, seminars, regular meetings with the tutor and the AnFAO Group, and presentations in seminars within the Department of Physics and Mathematics of the Universidad de Alcalá.
