We invite applications for a Research Fellow  at the School of Physics and Astronomy. This is a 3-year fixed-term position and is funded by the Royal Society, through Dr Ömer Gürdoğan's University Research Fellowship RF\ERE\221103.

The position:

The sucessful candidate will join Dr Ömer Gürdoğan at the Southampton High-Energy Physics group (SHEP), and the Southampton Theory, Astronomy and Gravitation (STAG) research centre. They will work in areas in line with the themes of the project, namely: common mathematical aspects of Scattering Amplitudes and Integrability, higher order perturbation theory using bootstrap techniques, and the extension of their applicability through the study of singularities of scattering amplitudes.

The anticipated start date of the position is 1 October 2024, but an earlier start is possible.

Funding for travel expenses, relocation costs is available as well as an interest-free loan for the visa and immigration costs (subject to approval).

*Applications will be considered from candidates who are working towards or nearing completion of a relevant PhD qualification.  The title of Research Fellow will be applied upon completion of PhD.  Prior to the qualification being awarded the title of Senior Research Assistant will be given.
