Offer Description
Through an exploration that is multidisciplinary and based on co-design (architecture, labour law, and sociology of family), ESCAPES investigates the contentious changes in remote work and the new working and family scenarios developing in and through physicalspace (city, office, home). The conversion to remote work accelerated during the pandemic, with urban, social, economic, and legal implications that are still uncertain. The research investigates the sustainability of these transformations for workers of all ages, the effects in the domestic and private space, especially for women and new carers who do not fit into the conventional family model underlying current family policies, and explores, through innovative and participatory methods, new care scenarios that are collectively sustainable and through care-centred policy innovation processes.
