Offer Description
We are looking for a highly motivated researcher to join our ongoing research efforts in the production and characterization of porous membranes-composites for water purification.
The successful candidate will join our experimental team in advancing our capabilities on combining graphene and related materials with commercial polymers to obtain new filters able to remove from water emerging contaminants (EC) which cannot be removed by standard filters. These includes antibiotics, pesticides, cosmetics and perfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS).

Experience in the design and preparation of composite materials and membranes for water treatment and knowledge of the main analytical methodologies for the qualitative-quantitative analysis of microcontaminants in water and the characterization of the pollutant removal properties of the aforementioned materials, with specific knowledge of the following techniques : organic synthesis, functionalization of graphene, preparation of graphene-based composites, liquid chromatography and mass spectrometry (LC/MS) and water purification by adsorption.
Specialist/Master's Degree (Ministerial Decree 5 May 2004) in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technologies, with a professional curriculum suitable for carrying out research activities;
experience in the field of the topic referred to in the art. 1 declared in the manner set out in art. 4;
knowledge of the English language;
knowledge of the Italian language (only for foreign candidates).

Researcher contract lasting 12 months for a gross amount of c.a. 19.367,00 euros, net wage of c.a.1.425,00 euros per month
