Offer Description
The Commute project is fully funded by the ANR (main French funding agency) and aims, in collaboration with the PRISM laboratory (CNRS & Aix-Marseille Univ), Airbus and Stellantis, at identifying sensory feedback-based solutions to facilitate human actions. While the ultimate goal is to provide an interface to facilitate driving a car and piloting an aircraft, the proposed part of the project is to conduct basic science to determine the role of tactile and auditory cues (possibly visual, proprioceptive cues too) in the control of voluntary actions.
The postdoctoral fellow will work with researchers, engineers and technicians plus a PhD student, and will be expected to survey the literature, propose hypotheses and experiments to the team, run experiments with human participants, analyze the collected data, propose figures and interpretations, present work to the team and to peers at local, national and international events/conferences, and write manuscripts for publication.

The applicant should hold (or be in the process of completing) a Masters degree or equivalent in (experimental) psychology, (cognitive) neuroscience, (human) motor control, or biology.
Applicants from other relevant backgrounds in (biomedical) engineering, physics or computing science will also be considered provided they demonstrate additional qualifications in any of the previously mentioned area(s).
Soft skills: Curiosity, Analytical and critical thinking, Teamwork, Autonomy, Listening and observing, Flexibility and adaptability, Good English; Speaking French is a plus.

- Net salary: between 2082 and 2440 euros per month net depending on professional experience to start, up to 2328 to 2686 euros per month net after one year.
