INTERNATIONAL PUBLIC DOCUMENTAL COMPETITION FOR THE PROVISION OF A PLACE FOR ADJUNCT PROFESSOR, IN THE MODALITY OF CONTRACT FOR WORK IN PUBLIC FUNCTIONS FOR AN UNDETERMINED TIME, FOR THE SCIENTIFIC AREA OF CHEMISTRY, DISCIPLINARY AREAS: FOOD CHEMISTRY, FO

General requirements: by the end of the deadline for the submission of applications, comply with the admission requirements provided for in paragraph 1º of article 17 of the General Law of Public Service Work (LTFP), namely:

Portuguese nationality; when not waived by the Constitution, by international convention or by special law;

Age equal or superior to 18 years;

Non-inhibition of the exercise of public functions or non-interdiction for the exercise of those that it proposes to perform;

Physical robustness and psychological profile indispensable to the exercise of functions;

Compliance with mandatory vaccination laws.

Candidates of foreign nationality, except those of official Portuguese language, must deliver documents, valid under the legal terms, proving their proficiency in Portuguese language, both spoken and written, at an adequate level for the teaching tasks to be carried out.

Special requirements: Candidates who cumulatively meet the following requirements may apply to this competition:

1. Be, by the deadline for the submission of applications, holder of a doctoral degree or title of specialist in the scientific area/disciplinary areas for which the competition is open (article 17.º do ECDESP);
2. Have a technical-scientific curriculum that presents, respectively, the following minimum requirements: at least ten indexed publications (SCOPUS or Web of Science), including at least three publications in first, second, or last author;
3. Candidates holding foreign qualifications must prove recognition of the doctor's degree, under the terms of the applicable legislation.

Special requirements: Candidates who cumulatively meet the following requirements may apply to this competition:

1. Be, by the deadline for the submission of applications, holder of a doctoral degree or title of specialist in the scientific area/disciplinary areas for which the competition is open (article 17.º do ECDESP);
2. Have a technical-scientific curriculum that presents, respectively, the following minimum requirements: at least ten indexed publications (SCOPUS or Web of Science), including at least three publications in first, second, or last author;
3. Candidates holding foreign qualifications must prove recognition of the doctor's degree, under the terms of the applicable legislation.

Functional content and remuneration positioning: The general functions of teachers in polytechnic higher education as described in article 2º-A and paragraph 4º of article 3º of the ECPDESP. The remuneration position will be determined in accordance with the provisions of Decree-Law Nº. 408/80, of 18 November, with subsequent amendments

Form of submission of the application:

8.1 - Applications must be formalized through paper application addressed to the President of IPSantarém, delivered in person or sent by mail, by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt, to the following address: Instituto Politécnico de Santarém, Complexo Andaluz – Moinho do Fau, Apartado 279, 2001-904 Santarém, until the deadline for submitting applications, considering, in this case, the date of post office registration. Applications must include the following updated elements: full name, affiliation, date and place of birth, number and date of the identity card number/citizen card or foreign civil identification document (EU)/passport, residence, form of contact, e-mail address and telephone number, marital status, academic degree and respective final classification, professional category and position currently held, identification of the competition you are applying for, with reference to the Diário da República that publishes this notice, and also all the elements that allow judging the skills of the interested parties. When formalizing the application, if it contains any classified document that reveals commercial or industrial secrets, or secrets relating to literary, artistic or scientific property, the candidate must expressly indicate such reservation, under penalty of the work in question being freely accessed by any of the other candidates, in consultation with the process.

8.2 - Instruction of the application for admission and documents to be delivered: in accordance with the ECPDESP, and, in line with the RCCPDIPS, the application for admission to the competition is also accompanied by the following documents:

1. Detailed Curriculum vitae, dated and signed Two (2) copies of the curriculum vitae (CV) in digital format (1 copy in each PEN) in a non-editable document (PDF). The curriculum vitae must be organized according to the points indicated in the ranking grid, contained in this notice, not considering items that are not presented in this way or placed wrongly in the indicated items.
2. Scoring grid, with the candidate's self-assessment, after applying the criteria for selection and ranking of candidates, referred in point 10 of this notice, which must be delivered in Excel format (xls or xlsx) and in pdf format. The standardized grid will be sent to candidates, after completing and submitting the appropriate form on the School's website (https://www.ipsantarem.pt/esas/formularios/).
3. Declaration, under oath, that meets the requirements for the constitution of a public employment relationship listed in point 7.1;
4. Declaration, under oath, that all the information and documentation included in the application is authentic, without prejudice to effective proof, whenever requested;
5. Qualification certificates (Two (2) copies in digital format (PDF) (1 copy in each PEN);
6. All certificates and works mentioned in the curriculum vitae (Two (2) copies in digital format (PDF) (1 copy in each PEN);

8.3 - When submitting the application, the candidate must provide the strictly necessary data for the purpose, under the terms of this public notice, and must hide personal data that may exist in the documentation delivered, otherwise these data may be freely accessed by any of the other candidates, in process consultation.

8.4 - The Curriculum vitae, delivered on paper and digitally, must contain:

1. Preamble containing the academic degrees and respective final classification, professional category and, if applicable, the position currently held;
2. Detailed and contextualized description of the curricular elements, organized, obligatorily, in accordance with the operationalization of the parameters and criteria approved by the jury, specified in point 10, which constitutes a necessary condition for their quotation, excluding what is not properly ordered;

8.5 — All application documents indicated in point 8.2 must be submitted in Portuguese or English.

8.6 — The failure to present supporting documents of the Curriculum vitae presented by the candidate implies the non-valuation of the elements that should prove.

8.7 — Applications that are not properly instructed or do not meet the formal admission criteria for the competition, under the terms defined in current legislation and in this notice, will not be accepted. Submission of any required documentation after the stipulated period also determines the non-admission to the competition.

8.8 — Applications sent by email are not accepted.

9. Public hearings: If the jury deems it necessary to promote public hearings to focus on the candidates' curriculum vitae, they will be scheduled at the first jury meeting. The dates of the public hearings will be published on the institutional website and the candidates to whom it will apply will be notified, pursuant to article 19º of the RCCPDIPS.

Candidate selection and ranking criteria: In accordance with ECPDESP's 15.º-A and article 22.º of the RCCPDIPS, the general evaluation parameters and ordering of candidates, to ascertain the merit of the candidates for the functions to be performed, to whom the indicated weighting was attributed (%), are the following:

1. Technical-Scientific and Professional Performance Component (CDTCP) relevant in the scientific area/disciplinary areas in which the competition is open: 35%;
2. Component Pedagogical Capacity (PC) relevant in the scientific area/disciplinary areas in which the competition is opened: 45%;
3. Component Other Activities (COA) relevant to the mission of the institution: 20%.
