Offer Description

IIC SAS research institute looks for an experienced experimentalist to fill the researcher position in research field related to the complex physico-chemical and structural analysis of the molten fluoride systems with metals identified as critical for EU (rare earth metals, Sc, Zr, Hf, and others).

The main tasks will be:

  • Perform high-quality research in the field of thermodynamic (phase equilibria and thermal analysis), physico-chemical (electrical conductivity, density viscosity, etc.), electrochemical (CV, SWV, LSV, CC, EIS, etc), and structural analysis (XRD, NMR) of high temperature molten fluoride systems.
  • Publish the obtained results in high-impact journals.
  • Present the obtained results at international conferences.
  • Provide guidance to PhD-, Master- and visiting students when required.
  • Actively participate in research projects of the Institute.

The fellow is defined as:

● R3 = independent / established researcher (3 567 € brutto - approx 2 580 € netto monthly salary),

The fellowship includes additional budget for research expenses (1300 € per project month) and team personnel expenses (max 2000 € per project month).

The duration of the project is 12-24 months and it must end at latest on 30/06/2026.

IIC SAS provides an opportunity to develop your scientific career in a dynamic and modern research environment. The topic is connected with the physico-chemical analysis of the relevant high temperature molten fluoride systems for the electrowinning of EU critical metals, but the project is also relevant for the electroseparation technologies (lanthanides and actinides) for the molten salt nuclear reactors.
