Offer Description
A position for scientific and technical personnel with an indefinite contract is announced as a Research Support Position in Osteoarthritis Advanced Finite Element Modeling.
Tasks to be performed:
The candidate will carry out activities linked to different WPs of the STRATO project. In brief, the activities include: analysis of gait data, generation of patient-specific finite element model that involve tasks of segmentation and mesh morphing, and knee multiphysics finite element simulations.
WP2: Single level Analysis: Task 2.2 Knee level: Body level Information obtained from the gait analyses of the recruited patients, i.e. knee rotations, forces, gait time will be used as input for patient-specific finite element simulations.
WP4: Morphological knee analyses: Task 4.1. Generate a computationally exploitable Knee OA 3D image from the MRI images obtained from the patients . Task 4.2.- Explore correlations between images obtained from T2 and T1dG MRIsequences and biochemical composition of cartilage measured in vivo, and simulated in silico. Task 4.3. Explore relationships among OA knee joint morphologies, pain, biomechanical analyses and treatment decision
WP5: Multilevel nonlinear analysis. Task 5.1: Top down approach from body level to cell level, by integrating motion capture data and computational biology models in knee finite element simulations.
The financing of these tasks is expected to take 6 months.
Dedication and working hours: Full time (35h/week)
Planned remuneration approx: 32.530,88 € gross / year
This recruitment is financed by the Plan Estatal de Investigación Científica, Técnica y de Innovación 2021-2023.
