Offer Description

The Chemical Transducers Group (GTQ) invites PhD researchers to express their interest in writing a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellowship application related to one or more of the research topics listed below.

GTQ is an interdisciplinary group with long experience in the development of sensors and lab-on-a-chip systems based on silicon technologies for the chemical and biological analysis of liquid  samples in the biomedical, industrial and environmental fields.
Research topics that we are supporting for new applications:
1) Electrochemical paper-based biosensors
2) Digital quantification electronic lab-on-a-chips
3) Automated microfluidic analytical systems for monitoring applications.

Successful candidate will have access to the GTQ lab equipped for electrochemistry and microfluidics and the 1500 m2 clean room facility of the IMB-CNM for micro and  nanofabrication (find a list of currently available equipment at https://www.imb-cnm.csic.es/en/micro-andnanofabrication-clean-room/tech…) and associated labs (packaging, rapid prototyping, electronic circuits assembly, electronic characterization). She/he will be trained in the use of these laboratories and equipment as needed for the development of the proposed research.

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for a motivated researcher with PhD in Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Micro and Nano technology, or related field. Previous experience in electrochemical sensors, micronanofabrication, and microfluidics will be positively valued.
