Offer Description
A lab technician contract is offered in the research group "Epigenetics and Cellular Senescence Lab" at the Center for Biological Research (CSIC) in Madrid. The contract will be carried out through the CSIC and will be charged to the project of the State Research Agency (Project PID2021-125656OB financed by MCIN/AEI/ 10.13039/501100011033/FEDER,UE).
Aging is a process of cellular and tissue dysfunction, which presents several characteristics, such as the activation of cellular senescence. Senescence is a process by which cells stop proliferating and produce a particular secretome. Our laboratory has recently identified that small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) serve as a cellular communication mechanism between senescent cells and proliferating cells. In this project, we propose to study the metabolomic changes produced during aging in human cells and in mouse tissues. For them, metabolomics, gene editing (CRISPR/Cas), proteomics and single-cell RNA sequencing (scRNAseq) studies will be carried out.
