Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in the Department of Family Medicine and Primary Care, School of Clinical Medicine (Ref.: 520733), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in the field of health and health services. They should have strong leadership, management, communication and interpersonal skills; an excellent command of written English; and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment. Experience in health promotion, e-health, large-scale research project management and development, and knowledge of statistics and big data analysis would be highly desirable.

The appointee will mainly be responsible for driving the research agenda of an ongoing long-term community-based health empowerment action research project for low income families and will work closely with partners from healthcare and social service sectors. He/She is expected to coordinate the evaluation of the outcomes of the project; oversee data collection and data analysis; prepare reports and manuscripts; supervise research assistants; and perform other relevant tasks as assigned by the academic leads of the project. There will be ample opportunities to work with research and health professionals to develop a research career in health and health services.
