Offer Description
The Optics and Photonics Research Center is looking for candidates of any nationality, with experience in NANOPHOTONICS, in one or more of the listed topics:
- Interaction of Plasmon-Polaritons with quantum emitters (experimental and theoretical)
- Plasmonic metamaterials for sensing applications (experimental)
- Growth of materials (semiconductors, glasses, or oxides) for Nanophotonics/Plasmonics applications
- Integration of plasmonic metamaterials and microelectronic devices for lab-on-a-chip applications
- Characterization of photonic materials using MicroRaman or Confocal optical Microscopy
The candidate must have obtained a PhD in Physics and Engineering areas in the last 5 years.
The Optics and Photonics Research Center (CEPOF) is one of the RIDCs (Research, Innovation and Dissemination Centers) in São Paulo state (Brazil) supported by FAPESP, the São Paulo Research Foundation. CEPOF is hosted by the University of São Paulo's São Carlos Institute of Physics (IFSC-USP).

The selected candidates should start their activities between August and September 2023.
The selected candidate will receive a FAPESP Post-Doctoral Scholarship in the amount of BRL 9,047.40 per month and a Technical Reserve equivalent to 10% of the annual value of the scholarship which should be spent on items directly related to the research activity.
