Offer Description
VHIR offers vacancy/vacant position for Rare Disease Researcher within the Child Neurology.
Main responsibilities and duties:
- Perform functional studies of rare variants in pediatric complex neurodevelopmental disorders
- Organize/curate rare disease genomic database
- Analyze omics data from a cohort of unsolved rare disease patients
- Collaborate with other investigators of the European Solve-RD initiative, representing VHIR

Education and qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sciences/PhD/Master
- Specific/Additional training in: Rare Disease - NGS analysis.
- Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, English (business level)
Desired:
- Specific/Additional training in: Bioinformatics and AI tools
Experience and knowledge:
Required:
- At least 5 years of experience working in a research environment
- General knowledge in Neurogenetics
- Ability to design experiments for functional evaluation of rare genetic variants

Benefits
Labour conditions:
- Part-time position: 10h/week.
- Starting date: immediate (June 2023)
- Gross annual salary: 6.500 – 8.000,00 euros /// (Remuneration will depend on experience and skills. Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: permanent linked to project
