Key requirements Only candidates that fulfil conditions defined in Art. 113 of The Act of the Act of 20th of July 2020 – the Law on Higher Education and Science (Dz.U.2022 no. 574 with later amendments) may apply. Other requirements: Doctoral degree in biological or related sciences obtained no earlier than 7 years before the year of employment in the project (this period does not include breaks related to parental and childcare leave and other conditions described in the regulations of OPUS NCN projects) Scientific achievements in areas related to evolutionary biology of birds and/or bird ecology, documented by publications in prominent international journals from the JCR list Familiarity with urban ecology. Experience in urban field work. Experience in passerine bird monitoring. Competence in statistical data analysis and/or in statistical analysis of microbiome data. Knowledge of statistical analysis in R Self-directed research, ability to work in a team. Very good knowledge of the English language Experience in fundraising for research Commitment and ability to adapt to flexible working hours. Mandatory contact with the project leader – dr hab. Basic duties 1. field work on a gradient of urbanisation 2. experience in statistical analysis of environmental and biological variables in a gradient of urbanisation 3. compilation and publication of results related to the urban biology of passerine birds 4. participation in seminars and scientific conferences 5. supervision of doctoral and masters students involved in the scientific work of the projects
