About the Role:

As the Associate Lecturer in Accounting, you will deliver excellence via informed teaching and learning across the suite of Accounting topics in the College of Business, Government and Law.

Your role will be integral in the creation, coordination and delivery of lectures tutorials, practical classes, demonstrations, workshops and the assessment of students enrolled in Accounting topics of the college. You will also provide support, academic counselling and professional advice to students concerning their studies, professional development and career opportunities, thus ensuring graduates are equipped with the skills required for success in the knowledge economy. This will be achieved by delivering a richly interactive and student-focused approach to learning, by engaging with e-learning platforms, and applying innovative teaching practices and technologies.

About You 

The successful candidate will also have completed 4 years of tertiary study or have equivalent qualifications and experience (Masters in Accounting or a related discipline is desirable).

Along with your exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Evidence of making a contribution to teaching and the scholarship of teaching at the discipline level, including involvement in curriculum development and teaching methodology.
  • Experience applying innovative approaches to pedagogy and/or curriculum design.
  • The ability to adopt new technologies in education.

Active engagement with the practice or Scholarship of accounting is highly desirable.
