Offer Description

Name of the project:

Intergenerational relations accompanying the entry of male and female migrants into adulthood. A study of Polish young adult families in Germany and Norway (IRIMTA)

Description:

The IRIMTA project focuses on the importance of intergenerational relations among young adults (aged 18-29) who are entering adulthood in Polish migrant families – people who were born in Poland and permanently moved abroad during childhood or adolescence (i.e. “the 1.5 generation”) or were born abroad and raised by Polish (migrant) parents (“the second generation”). The project is based on a qualitative research approach – multi-site (Germany and Norway as target countries), multi-perspective (involving two generations from each family: a young adult and a parent) and longitudinal (interviews and an asynchronous online follow up).
