Post-Doctoral Associate in the Division of Science Chemistry, Dr. Tynchtyk Amatov

The Amatov Laboratory in the Chemistry Program of the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi seeks to recruit two postdoctoral associates to work on diverse projects at the interface of organic synthesis, catalysis, and chemical biology. Applicants with backgrounds in synthetic organic and nucleic acid chemistry are encouraged to apply to work on the following projects:

Project 1: Development of new catalysts and catalytic transformations for applications in natural product synthesis and medicinal chemistry.

Project 2: DNA-programmed chemistry for applications in catalysis and chemical biology.

Applicants must have received a Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related discipline or are about to complete PhD before November 2022. Candidates with significant research experience in synthetic organic chemistry (catalysis, methodology, natural product total synthesis) or nucleic acid chemistry (ideally both) will be given preference. The ideal candidates, in addition to excellent expertise, are initiative and able to work in multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are preferred.

The terms of employment are very competitive and include housing and educational subsidies for children.
