The Quantum Nano Photonics group at KTH is inviting applications for a researcher position in the field of quantum photonics at the single photon level. You will work in an international team to develop quantum photonic devices and instruments operating at the single photon level. You will be involved in European and international projects and will collaborate with leading research groups. The work will include nanofabrication, optical measurements, optical instruments conception and data analysis.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • A doctoral degree or an equivalent foreign degree 
  • Experience with optical measurements at cryogenic temperatures
  • Experience with nanofabrication of devices based on quantum dots
  • Experience with single photon measurements
  • Collaborative abilities
  • Independence

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with supervision of master students
  • Experience with lab programming (Python or equivalent)
  • Experience with optical simulations (Lumerical or equivalent)
  • Research expertise.
  • The ability to work towards research results being utilised in practice.
  • The ability to inform about research and development work
  • Experience of developing and leading activities and staff.
  • Knowledge of diversity and equal opportunity issues, with specific focus on gender equality 

Great emphasis will be placed on personal competence.

About the employment

The employment is valid for a limited time according to the agreement - for up to 6 months, with access according to agreement.
