European Virtual Science Slam

On the occasion of the European Month, MCAA-North America invites you cordially to:

"European Science Slam! (ZOOMing in)"

Have you ever wondered how to get people interested in your research during COVID-19 social distancing measures? Or maybe during the long weeks in isolation you read that science paper that you have not quite understand but got intrigued? Well, MCAA-North American chapter Virtual Science Slam provides the perfect opportunity to present and understand scientific research! A Science Slam (AKA A Pint of Science, AKA 3MT) will bring together scientists and non-scientists in a science communication contest where up to six scientists use exciting, simple, and funny talks to explain their research projects. We invite European researchers and MC research fellows in North America to sign up to become a Science Slammer. Please, come forward before May 20th! Remember, no PowerPoint allowed, only paper, pens, and your imagination! Get the science explained to us as you would do to a six-year-old kid!

We also invite everybody else to share with us our bi-weekly happy hour, celebrate European Month, and listen to the Slammers. We might learn a thing or two!

The winner will get a paid registration to a Coursera course of their choice!
