Open call by the New EU programme AL-INVEST VERDE for the promotion of sustainable production chains in Latin America

AL-INVEST is a European Union initiative focused on the promotion and support of small and medium enterprises in Latin America. For 6th edition of the programme (48 months duration), it was renamed AL INVEST VERDE.

It aims to promote the growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America, through the implementation of sustainable practices, such as the reduction of the carbon footprint in their processes, greater efficiency in the use of resources, etc. This, with a view to contributing to their transition towards a more circular economy.

The programme will provide funding of 25 million euros for innovative projects arising from business partnerships between Europe and Latin America.

First call for proposals

AL-INVEST Verde launched its 1st Call for Proposals for Innovative Partnership Projects.

This Call for Proposals aims at supporting innovative partnership projects between Latin American (LA) and European institutions and organisations. The following priorities will be pursued for this first call for proposals:

1. Sustainable, deforestation-free agri-food systems and value chains

2. Transition towards low carbon, resource efficient and circular business models

Proposals can request funding of up to 300000 euros.


To participate, project proposals must include at least one entity from a Latin American country and one from the EU. Eligible institutions are non-profit organisations from the EU and from the following Latin American countries:

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela
