Information Session about the Austrian Academy of Sciences' Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities (JESH) programme

This one-hour Information Session in English aims to provide potential candidates with an overview of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (OAW)'s open call under the Joint Excellence in Science and Humanities (JESH) programme. The speaker, a Brazilian fellow, will present the eligibility criteria, and will provide tips for the research proposal and application procedure.

Speaker: Leonardo Dall'Agnol, JESH fellow and professor at the Federal University of Maranhão, Brazil.

Please note that this event is not organised by the OAW, but by EURAXESS LAC and a JESH fellow, with the approval of the OAW.

About the JESH call

WHAT? mobility scheme offering substantial support for promising young scholars in all fields of research. 

WHO? candidates who completed their doctorate/PhD studies no more than 10 years ago and are affiliated with a university or non-university research institution in one of the target countries (JESH Incoming) or Austria (JESH Outgoing). 

Target countries in LAC:

Argentina, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela

DURATION? mobility should last at least 1 month and a maximum of 6 months

Information Session about the Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme 2021

This Information Session aimed at providing potential candidates with an overview of the IRC Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme. It discussed eligibility criteria, and provided tips for the research proposal and application procedure.

Speaker: Elaine Pereira Farrell, Former Irish Research Council Doctoral Scholar and ELEVATE Postdoctoral Fellow Co-Founder and Co-leader of Insulae - Brazilian Network for the Study of Britain, Ireland and the Isles of the North Archipelago in Antiquity and Middle Ages.

Please note, this event was not organised by the Irish Research Council, but by EURAXESS LAC and an IRC awardee.

About the call

WHAT? support to suitably qualified applicants in any discipline to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship at an eligible higher education institution in Ireland.

WHO? An applicant must have either graduated or have been certified as having fulfilled all the requirements for the award of a doctoral degree, including the submission of the hardbound corrected thesis, within the five-year period between 31 May 2016 and 31 May 2021.

DURATION? one or two years.
