About the Global Young Academy:
Founded in 2010, the Global Young Academy (GYA) is an international organization of young researchers with members from six continents. Members are elected for five-year terms. Each member is expected to participate in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the GYA (the AGM 2020 will be held from 8 – 12 June 2020 in India) and to actively contribute to one or more of the organisation’s programmes. This includes participation, e.g., in policy development, promotion of the National Young Academies, or promoting science and education at the international level. The Young Academy of Japan was founded in 2011 and is hosted by the Science Council of Japan.
