The WRHI is looking for an assistant professor (specially appointed) and the followings are details of job description.

 

[Job details]

A Specially Appointed Assistant Professor position, which is equivalent to Research Associate elsewhere, a world-leading research university in Japan is available for a highly motivated individual who wants to develop or advance his/her academic career in the field of theoretical and computational materials physics. In this direction of research, the DAS group employs various microscopic models and DFT based calculations to understand and predict the quantum phenomena in materials at the level of atoms. The DAS group aims to develop quantitative guidelines to tailor properties of materials in order to design novel materials/phenomena. The Assistant Professor will participate in DAS Lab's research projects which will be primarily focused on the electronic and magnetic materials. He/she will have access to DAS research group computer cluster and the Tokyo Tech large-scale supercomputer TSUBAME.

The successful candidate will be required to engage in the education at Graduate Major in Materials Science and Engineering, Department of Materials Science and Engineering, School of Materials and Chemical Technology

Working Hours*:De Facto Working Hours* under Discretionary Labor System:38 hours 45 minutes per week (7 hours 45 minutes per day)*Hours considered as working hours

Term:Until up to March 31th, 2022

Probationary Period:14 days

Day off:Saturdays,Sundays,holidays specified by the National Holidays Act, December 29 to January 3 of the following year.
