Closing Date: 11/04/19 (23:59 CET)

NeuTouch, a European research project funded by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions European Training Networks (ETN) action of the European Union Horizon 2020 (H2020) program, under grant agreement No 813713, has made available PhD Fellowships positions to work on the development of touch sensing technology for robotics and prosthetics, grounded on biological touch perception.

NeuTouch will train PhD students on cutting edge touch related research - ranging from biology and computational neuroscience up to artificial systems design and robotics - and on transversal (soft) skills, to form the next generation of scientists capable of having strong impact in our society.

NeuTouch students will conduct their research and training across different universities, research centres and industries across Europe, to develop a strong background and an effective research network.

The list and details of the 15 research topics, general information the NeuTouch project and eligibility criteria can be found at: www.neutouch.eu

Applications shall be filled on-line at https://neutouch.eu/openings/application

Interested applicants are strongly invited to participate to the project's recruitment event at the Italian Institute of Technology - via Morego 30, Genova, Italy- on April, 11th 2019, where we will present the research themes and it will be possible to talk to PhD tutors.

Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT), with its headquarters in Genova, Italy, is a non-profit institution with the primary goal of creating and disseminating scientific knowledge and strengthening Italy’s technological competitiveness. The institute offers state-of-the-art equipment and a top-level interdisciplinary research environment focused on robotics and computer vision, neuroscience, drug discovery, nanoscience and technology.
