We are pleased to announce the launch of the 4th edition of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair (EHEVF 2019) which is to take place on 14 and 15 November 2019. EHEVF is organized by the EU-funded Policy and Outreach Partnership in India project, and builds on the successes of virtual fairs organized in 2015, 2016 and 2018.
The aim of the virtual fair is to promote the European Union as the leading destination of excellence for higher education and research to Indian under- and post-graduate students and to secondary school pupils. It does so by providing relevant and updated information on the opportunities and possibilities for study and research in the different EU Member States.
A series of webinars will take place over the course of two days. The event gives your institution an excellent opportunityto reach out to and engage with potential students from India free of cost.Furthermore, EU MS representatives will be given the opportunity to present their respective higher education systems and national scholarship schemes of which Indian students could avail whilst EU representatives.
Objective: The objective of the European Higher Education Virtual Fair 2019 is outlined below:
-To promote the EU as a destination for higher education and research for the Indian students and academic community by providing them with latest information and authentic advice directly from the EU HEIs and EUMS representatives and subject experts through a series of webinars
-To provide an online platformto connect EU HEIs and EUMS with Indian high school and college students and academic community through a dedicated website
-Build bridges for longer term institutional linkages (Erasmus +) and to support and complement the efforts of EU MS and HEIs in promoting internationalisation of higher education in the EU.
Methodology: The Virtual Fair will comprise of two main elements:
i.A series of webinar sessions in which participating EU HEIs will get an opportunity to make presentations about their institutional offerings directly to Indian students and engage them
ii.A website on which all participating EU HEIs will get their own pages which will be updated regularly
- Indian college students who have recently graduated or graduating next year and are looking to go abroad for higher education
- Indian high school students looking to go abroad for higher education
- Indian Post-Graduates looking for research opportunities in the EU
