Committed to the need for a global approach and increased R&I actions, the EU Delegation to India is pleased to announce that the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, has joined forces with the European Union to combat COVID-19 pandemic by collaborating and co-funding four topics in the Horizon 2020 2nd call for Expressions of Interests to respond to COVID-19 (Read more):
There is mutual interest in the below mentioned four topics:
- SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020-2A - Repurposing of manufacturing for vital medical supplies and equipment
- SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020-2B - Medical technologies, Digital tools and Artificial Intelligence (AI) analytics to improve surveillance and care at high Technology Readiness Levels (TRL)
- SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020-2D - Pan-European COVID-19 cohorts
- SC1-PHE-CORONAVIRUS-2020-2E - Networking of existing EU and international cohorts of relevance to COVID-19
Given the urgency to combat COVID-19, call deadlines are shorter than normal. Indian applicants will have a very short period of time to form consortia since the call deadline is already on 11 June 2020 at 17:00 hours Brussels time.
