This will be the third training of a series of five, organised by EURAXESS China on different aspects of Science Communication. See information about the whole series here: [English | 中文] and watch the introductory video:

This session will provide a dynamic and interactive presentation, encouraging the public to learn how to make the perfect pitch for their research projects, starting from the consideration that knowing how to value your research and communicate the relevance of your work is essential to find collaborators and gain recognition.

Keep your research abstract handy during the webinar, as we will do some training exercises on how to pitch our research projects. All the participants will be able to actively interact in the webinar in completely anonymous written form.

The language of the training will be English.

TRAINER:

Joao Silveira

Joao Silveira is a learning designer, researcher, educational consultant and also an artist. He is the author of several articles about the interaction between art, science and education. He holds a Master's degree and Ph.D. in Education and Science Communication from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

He was a visiting researcher at Harvard and the University of Texas in Dallas and a postdoctoral researcher at Fiocruz - Brazil. He currently lives in France and works as an education specialist for a private multinational company and the Lab e-Nov, the laboratory for pedagogical innovations at the IFP School, a Graduate public school of engineering linked to the French Ministry of Ecological Transition.
