Researchers are innovators – they are constantly trying to discover new things, develop new methods and push the boundaries of what is known – yet it can sometimes be difficult to take the step from academic pursuits to entrepreneurship. With this in mind, in the afternoon of 24 June, EURAXESS China held a webinar titled "How to Bridge Research and Innovation" with the aim of helping European and Chinese researchers identify funding opportunities and supporting tools to valorise their research work.
The webinar was organised with the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) and theAssociation of Chinese-European Innovation and Entrepreneurship (ACEIE) to offer an overview of some of the funding opportunities and support instruments that exist in Europe and China for researchers that want to accelerate their research into market ready businesses.
