第三届科技外交官创新资源对接活动在北京举行 Third Technology Diplomats’ Innovation Resources Matchmaking Action Forum held in Beijing - The Forum hosted by Beijing Technology Exchange and Promotion Center and China International Technology Transfer Center. More than 150 delegates from Canada, Sweden, New Zealand, Portugal, Chile, Japan, Norway, Finland, the EU and other countries and regions, embassies, R&D institutions and enterprises in China attended the event.


中国科学家打破量子计算世界纪录 Chinese scientists break quantum computing record - Chinese physicists have achieved quantum entanglement with 18 qubits, surpassing the previous world record of 10. This represents a step toward realizing large-scale quantum computing, according to recent study published in the journal Physical Review Letters.


空间数据服务兴起 Space data services set to take off - Civil aerospace equipment company Zhuhai Orbita Aerospace Science & Technology Co Ltd set up a space data trading center in June, in order to tap the growing commercial applications of space technology. The move comes two months after the company, which specializes in the production and sale of integrated circuit designs, had its Zhuhai-1 remote sensing satellites deployed from a single-carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center in Gansu province-opening up a major channel for commercial space data services.


提高塑料厨具的安全性 Advancing the safety of plastic kitchenware - Scientists of the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) developed an analytical method for the quantification of fluorescent whitening agents which may migrate from plastic cups into beverages. This work supports the implementation of legislation on food packaging materials.


国际禁毒日:JRC通过支持针对特制药物的识别和检测技术研究,协助当局禁毒 International day against drug abuse: JRC supports national authorities with identification and detection technology for designer drugs - Customs controls face increasing amounts of chemical products with false declarations that are entering the European Union (EU) market. Many of these products are synthetic designer drugs also known as New Psychoactive Substances (NPS), which are not controlled under international law. The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) supports the Customs' Laboratories European Network (CLEN) - which is coordinated by the Directorate-General Taxation and Customs Union (DG TAXUD) - with scientific expertise for the identification of NPS in seized samples.
