Post-doc in Chemical Biology and Material Sciences hosting for MSCA-IF at the University of Santiago de Compostela

ciqus

The CiQUS (Centro Singular de Investigación en Química Biolóxica e Materiais Moleculares at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain), hosts 19 research groups (4 ERC grantees) which addresses challenges in Biological and Medicinal Chemistry, New functional Materials and Synthetic Technologies for Sustainable Development (www.usc.es/ciqus/en/research-areas).

CiQUS seeks to support postdoctoral candidates with a strong publication record wishing to apply for a Marie Skłodowska Curie - Individual Fellowships.

We already have experience supporting MSCA-IF (4 ongoing fellows) and we are eager to support candidates working on:

• Metal catalysis in synthesis and in chemical Biology, PI: José L. Mascareñas (ERC-AdG)

• Multifunctional metal-carbon hybrid nanostructures (spintronics & energy), PI: M. Gimenez-Lopez (ERC-StG)

• Chemistry of Condensed Matter: magnetism and manotechnology, PI: F. Rivadulla (ERC-StG)

• Dynamic bonds for membrane transport, PI: J. Montenegro (ERC-StG)

• Stimuli responsive nanocomposites: MOFs growth around inorganic nanoparticles, PI: P. del Pino

• Efficient conjugation of dendrimers to ligands of biomedical interest, PI: E. Fernandez-Megia

• Chirality. Stimuli-Responsive polymers, PI: E. Quinoa

• Bottom-up nanographenes: design of precursors for graphene nanomaterials, PI: D. Peña

• Selective organic synthesis by copper catalysis, PI: M. Fañanas-Mastral

If you are interested, please email ciqus.jobs@usc.es, including a short CV and a brief description of the research topic which would be the focus of the proposal.

Selected candidates will be informed by end of July 2019 of the next steps in the submission process (training, reviews, etc).

Deadline: 22 July 2019.
