The Brazilian Ministry of Education agency Capes (Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education) launched a new call to fund outgoing short term doctoral mobility. 1400 scholarships will be granted to doctoral students who want to carry out part of their doctoral research in a university abroad for periods that last between 4 and 6 months. The call is open to all fields.
Candidates must be Brazilian citizens or permanent residents in Brazil, and must be enrolled in a doctoral programme with a rate of 4 or above given by Capes at the time of applying.
Candidates will first be selected by their Brazilian higher education institution until 12 March 2021. Applicants will then register with Capes until 1 April 2021. Mobility will start between July and September 2021.
