European Union call under H2020 will be investing € 33 million to fund research in the Atlantic. In addition to being the first step towards the implementation of the commitments made by the countries in the Declaration of Belém, the call meets the United Nations' Sustainable Development Objectives, especially item 14, "to conserve and sustainably use the oceans, seas and resources for sustainable development. "
This is one of the flagship initiatives lauched in H2020 Wok programme 2018-2020.
Proposals shall include participants from South Africa and Brazil. Under this topic, LEGAL ENTITIES ESTABLISHED IN BRAZIL ARE ELIGIBLE FOR FUNDING FROM THE UNION.
