Austria - IIASA Funded Postdoctoral Fellowships- International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis IIASA Postdoctoral Research programme offers up to 2 years positions. Candidates should have their PhD at the time of taking up the appointment and are expected to have a proven record of research accomplishments, and a solid working knowledge of English. United Kingdom - BBSRC-GSK PhD in Science: Microbial interactions within denture biofilms,Cardiff University - The aims of this PhD are therefore to explore the types and mechanism(s) of microbial interactions that occur in biofilms, using denture biofilms as model systems. Along with tuition fees, funding from BBSRC will cover an annual maintenance stipend (£14777), which is subject to annual inflammation and will be confirmed by RCUK each year. The industrial partner (GSK) will also provide a fixed sum £3000 pa as a top up to the student stipend. DEADLINE DATE: 31/07/2018

 

Germany - PhD Scholarship, Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes - The doctoral candidate has been accepted on a doctoral programme at a German university where the thesis will also be submitted; nationality is irrelevant. Funding is initially granted for two years. On application and subject to successful progress, the scholarship may be extended twice, for up to six months respectively. The maximum funding period is 36 months; for scholarship holders with children this period can be increased to 48 months. DEADLINE DESCRIPTION: Open.
