Expert Profile

Dr Manuel Gómez Herrero is Policy Officer in the unit "Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions" (MSCA) of the Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture (DG EAC) of the European Commission since December 2018. Before joining the MSCA Unit of DG EAC, Manuel worked for five years as a Policy Officer in the unit "Resource Efficiency and Raw Materials" of DG GROWTH. Before joining the European Commission in end 2013, Manuel worked for almost fifteen years as a researcher. He has a PhD in Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering.
