European Funding Session at the University of Western Australia

EURAXESS Australia and New Zealand Regional Coordinator, Mr Nishant Shandilya was invited by the University of Western Australia to speak about European Funding Opportunities on 14 September 2022. This event was part of the 3-day mission to the Australian state of Western Australia.

The hybrid session focused primarily on EU Framework Programs (Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe), European Research Council (ERC) grants and Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions (MSCA). The session included details on ERC's Implementing Arrangements with NHMRC & ARC as well as NHMRC-EU Collaborative Research Grant Scheme. A high-level overview of Pillar II was also presented to showcase how and what would involvement in collaborative research grants would entail. The presentation was followed by a panel discussion between Professor Jacqueline Batley (School of Biological Sciences), Dr Felix de Tombeur (Marie Skłodowska-Curie Global Postdoctoral Fellow) and Ms Michelle Emmett (Manager, International Networks).

Audience: PhD students, Early and Mid-Career Researchers and Senior Researchers from any research discipline at the University of Western Australia.
